I've been kind of dead on LJ for a while now - haven't read any new fics or posted or writed anything. I felt like I needed a tiny explanation post.

Life's been going so wrong lately (on most aspects, except one, which is yet to be determined whether or not will go right) - for starters: the driver's license department sucks, and I can't bring myself to say more about this.

And then comes school. I’m not exactly doing bad, it’s normal, but there’s so much work to do, I can barely think it over. For example, every week I have to study for case discussions. Not to mention my elective class that has a paper/project to do every week also (on the same day of the discussions). And then there’s a symposium to plan, and other papers due. And of course I have to study for the tests that’ll surely come. And I may try taking monitory exams for physiology… Anyway, just a rant. You probably can’t even understand it.

On a fic note, I’ve got lots of projects, old and new, but I just don’t have time to sit down and write lately, I don’t know when I’ll have it. So you guys will just have to cut me some slack ;) I promise that I’ll try to get back some time around this month or the next.

AN : So, I feel that this story begs for a really extensive author's note, because you guys really need to understand where I'm coming from. Of course you can read the story and skip the note and that won't affect your enjoyment of the story at all, but for my own piece of mind I'd like to let you in on some things regarding the process of making this story.


The first idea for this came to me as I saw the February prompt by tapas_girl at the Sheldon/Penny livejournal community (yes, I hang out there waaay too often). It doesn't happen like that from the beginning but it WILL get there - on the next two chapters. Besides this story is mostly for the Big Bang fandom (but it will have tons more of Btvs stuff on the next chapters).


I've never expected to write a crossover, honestly I rarely read them, but this story just hit me. The idea of Penny as slayer fits in my head, with the way she takes care of the geeks, and I'm also planning to use the slayer mythology as an excuse to get this couple together. The Btvs part that should come next is in progress, but I'm pretty set on where this story will go, so really I just have to find the best way to write it and it'll come.


On another note, I've made a few references to the newest Buffy comic books, even if I'm not really eager to consider them eight season canon. But since I'm working with the time set of The Big Bang Theory it should be quite a few years later on the Btvs world, giving me the opportunity to work with the character and situations of my choosing. If you're unfamiliar with the comics or with Buffy, it really won't harm your understanding of this story, or so I hope. Feel free to ask me any sorts of questions. Anyway, I hope y'all enjoy this story and jump aboard with me on the adventure. :P

Gosh, my internet is totally messing with me these past two days. I have no idea what's going on. It works. It doesn't work. It works again. It stops working. AGAIN and ANGAIN and AGAIN. (Can you tell I'm a little pissed?) It took me like 100 tries to get this on.

Anyway, besides that I've doing some cool stuff on these holidays, like say watch TV shows. I spent the whole weekend downloading How I Met Your Mother from the beginning. I gave it try because I saw so many people in the sheldon_penny community talking about it and I just loved it. And I love Barney. And Barney and Robin. The scene in the hospital in the 3rd season finale when he looks at her lovingly just won me for this ship.

I also bought Battlestar Galactica 1st season DVD and despite the fact the miniseries is really, really long - I mean 3 hours, come on, I have a very limited attention spam. I kind of really like it, especially for the way they treat the women. I mean how awesome is Starbuck? She’s totally my new hero.

And speaking of which (okay, so maybe is not totally related), I’m also reading Eclipse (yes, the 3rd Twilight book), and I have to say, am I the only one who was a little grossed out by that wedding proposal? So the only reason they can’t have sex is because they’re not married? The majority of my so called generation seems to think that’s okay, it’s a great idea, but the way I see it this is the first step towards going back to the 50’s. I mean women fought for the freedom of expressing their sexuality. Telling them they should be married in order to have sex is depriving them of that freedom. Abstinence as a campaign doesn’t work and as a life style will probably lead to disappointment and frustration in a future married life. But I don’t want to essay on this right now. I’m just trying to make my point of view clear.

I’m having a little troubled getting inspired to write my fanfic. The Sheldon voice comes a little more easily now, but I still don’t know what I want to happen next. As much as I’d love to give them happily ever after, there’s still a long way to go from explaining everything to the guys, dealing with Leonard’s reactions, and only then get to the part where they can have some fun.:P I just haven’t decided just what fun that’ll be. Do I want them on date? Do I want them as a serious couple? Is the fic itself even working? I don’t know, there are so many unanswered questions floating in my head and I just have to get to them before I write anything else.

And to make matters worse, I’ll have to go back to school in a couple of weeks …And now, I’m guilty for not studying. Great.
